I submitted my paper at 11:27 PM, it was due at 11:59. Then I went back to the boards and checked in on the one for this past week where we had to leave a note about the things we learned in the research process. I really wanted to write about how crapy the class was and how I'd learned that Music Education Philosophy is a bunch of bull that people throw together in an attempt to validate our chosen profession since it is not a "real" job. When I returned to the main page at 12:07 AM, the class was compeltely gone!
OK so let's get back into my life these days. here are list of things going on in my life at the moment:
1. I am completely obsessed with Taylor Swift's song "Our Song" go youtube it because it is fantastic!! Its such a cute song about that whole concept of not having a song.
I relate to this because Stephen and I don't have "a song" persay. When we're out at big parties and "My Girl" comes on he comes running over to dance with me, but I wouldn't say that's our song. Most of what we listen to togther is pretty heavy (Metallica, Linkin PArk, Stone Sour, etc) so it leaves our options pretty thin. 2. Parents have become absolutely nerve wrenching as far as I'm concerned. The ones at school as well as the ones I live with. I'm getting a bit better about living with my mom. I've gotten to the point of completely ignoring her until I'm required to talk. The problem is that she is WAY too involved in my life without me letting her be. She checks my email and facebook account on a regular basis "in order to keep tabs on louis (my brother)" however, she ends up thinking that anything and everything I or he says is a personal attack on her. It's pretty frustrating. I have been spending alot of time in my room, which the class has been great for.
3. I'll be getting back to the scrapping game this week! I'm so excited. I'm waiting for the girl from Scrapaholics to call me and let me know when she gets her delivery of new books. I'm looking forward to picking out my burlap or wooden cover book! Jeannie said that she'll scrap with me, I'll bring my bag over and we can sit and drink coffee and bullshit for a while. I'm excited.
4. My hair has become a new found enjoyment for me. I go through phases where I hate my hair, however today I'm really enjoying it. I curled it, well scrunched it which means ijust put alot of spray on curler in and pushed it all together while I ran the dryer through it. I've already got a few compliments. Generally people tell me I look better with my hair curly, but then Stephen can't play with it, thus I keep is straight most of the time.
5. The building is quietest on Wednesday mornings and I love that silence. I don't care that I'll eventually get in trouble for missing chapel.
6. I'm looking for a new job, and sending out resumes starting tomorrow. When people say "next year" to me while I'm at work I go crazy. I hate feeling like crap about the fact that I don't want to be here next year. I feel like I'm living a lie when I just smile and nod at them.
7. Still bothered by what Kat said the other night, but I'll get over it. It's just so obnoxious since I'm the nice one in the group and ALWAYS make sure to include her.
8. Words of wisdom from Jen: "Get off coffee, and open an IRA"
9. I haven't been dancing in a while and I really want to go.
10. Kickboxing has officially become one of the best things in my life at the moment. If I had the time, I would love to actually train and attempt a fight.
