Hope Egg, Begging You for Mercy, and an AMAZING concert

About 2 months ago I fell at work and landed on my hands (which is a very exciting thing for me as I have a tendency to fall on my face!) and in turn my bracelet (the one stephen gave me for christmas) cracked, didn't break, but one of the links became bent. I edcided after we broke up that I still wanted to keep and wear the bracelet because I wanted it so badly for so long, but that I will buy myself charms as my life has exciting events or important things happen. Or as I have money for the charms. So, when my brother had his interview at FIT a couple of weeks ago I went to the Links of London store in Soho and knew what I was getting. I asked them to size the bracelet for my little wrist and remove the uneccesary links and that I wanted the Hope Egg charm This is what the website says about the hope egg: "The 'Hope' Egg is perceived as a precious gift in Russian culture and represents hope, happiness and renaissance." So I thought it was appropriate for the current state of my life. When I asked for the egg in particular, the girl said, "well, you know what you're looking for, why the hope egg?" I explained that the bracelet was a gift from my ex, and the egg was for the hope that I will meet someone new and wonderful. Her response: "That is the best reason I have ever heard for a charm purchse!" and she kept laughing.

Duffy's "Mercy" is my favorite song at the moment. One of the girls I hung out with Friday night last week said "This song makes me feel sexy!" and it does. I love that old motown sound. So classic. She is definitely an adorable songstress, and I love the part where she "breaks it down" under the chorus.

So my concert was this past Tuesday, and it was amazing. i know I complain about my job, but it made all of my complaining worth it, and all the stress and craziness. I was so proud of them, and the parents had so many good things to say. My dad said they sounded great, which made me really happy. Mom didn't come again...but this time around I didn't get upset about it. I can't anymore. If I get videos of the concert, I'll try to post them.

I'll try to blog later about the current dating affairs...because man are things intense!
